2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup softened shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar (to pack it use your fingers and push down until it won't go down any further)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon water
2 large eggs
in bowl sift all dry ingredients ,and set aside
in mixer mix all wet ingredients. except eggs.
mix in the dry, then add eggs.
add in 12 oz chopped chocolate chips
and 1 cup chopped nuts of choice.
prheat oven to 375
Grease the cookie sheets.
make dough balls about the size of a walnut.
leave room for expantion
bake for 8-10 minutes
let cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes then transfer to a cookie rack, let them completely cool.
makes about 75 cookies.
