Green chili sauce

Recipe: 1 tsp. vegetable oil 1 tsp. unbleached flour 1 medium onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 lb. pork, cubed 1 tsp. granulated garlic 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. salt 1 13 oz. container frozen green chile 2 cups water Preparation: 1. Heat oil in saucepan over low heat. 2. Add flour and stir until golden brown, making a raux. 3. Add onion and minced garlic. Cook until transparent. 4. Add pork and seasonings. Brown pork over medium heat. 5. Stir in green chile and water. Bring to a boil. 6. Cover and simmer over low heat 10 to 15 minutes. Makes approximately 1 1/2 quarts.
