Recipe: |
1 Can (10 ct) biscuits
Oil to fry in
Powdered Sugar to toss in
Cut each biscuit in half for traditional, or forths for donut hole size. Heat oil to approximately 350 degrees or until a dough section fries when placed in oil and rises to top within 10 seconds. Add biscuit pieces and cook about 20-30 seconds per side. Remove and immediately toss in powdered sugar. This is so easy, cheap and fun! You can give each child a brown paper sack with either powdered sugar, granulated sugar, or a cinnamon/sugar mixture inside. Drop in the beignets and let them shake and eat them. This is much cheaper than buying donuts on Saturday morning. It's unbelievably fast and delicious. My new favorite! |
