Chocolate Toffee Bars

Recipe: Crust: 1 cup All-Purpose flour 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup butter, softened Topping: 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 tbs All-Purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 2 eggs 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped nuts (I prefer walnuts) Heat over to 350. In small bowl, combine all ingredients for crust; blend well. Press in the bottom of ungreased 13x9 inch pan. Bake for 8 to 10 min or until lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes or so. Increase over temperature to 375. While cooling, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 2 tbs flour, baking powder, and eggs in medium bowl. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour topping over crust, spreading evenly. Bake at 375 for 13-18 minutes or until a deep golden brown and the center is set. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled (you can put in the fridge for quicker cooling) Makes 36 bars
