Chicken, Rice, and Gravy

Recipe: Ingredients: 2 cups of rice 4 cups of water 4-6 pieces of chicken salt garlic pepper self-rising flour water In a crock pot place chiken and fill with water. Add salt, pepper, and garlic accordingly.(say about 11/2 tsp a piece) cook on high all day while at work. Should not burn because of the slow cooker. Rice- Add 2 cups of rice and 4 cups of water with a little salt (tsp) cook on medium high until water is just barely on top of rice then cover and reduce heat to low and cook about ten minutes (taste the rice to see if tender. If not cook a little longer(5 minutes) then taste again until done. While rice is cooking add about 2 tbs of oil to frying skillet until hot add 1-2 tbs of flour and stir until dark brown. Should be real thick then add to crok pot. Gravy takes maybe 10 minutes or so. Warm up some can corn with lots of butter and you have a complete meal.
