Recipe: |
1 Head of cabbage, cored and cut up
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
1/2 onion, chopped
2 carrots, washed and cut into 2" pieces
1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, cut into 1/2" slices
salt and pepper to taste if desired
Boil first 4 ingredients until potatoes are tender. Add meat and boil for additional 8-10 minutes. Great cold weather soup, or serve as a meal with cornbread as a side. |
