Pecan Cream Cheese Bars |

Recipe: |
Crust: 1 yello cake mix, 1 stick of butter or margarine, 1 egg, 1/4 c. fine chopped pecans. Mix together till crumbly. Press onto bottom of ungreased cookiesheet.
Filling: 1 6-8oz. pkg. cream cheese(softened), 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp. orange extract. Blend together into thick liquid. Spread evenly over crust.
Topping: Sprinkle with 1/4 c. fine chopped pecans. Bake on top rack at 350 for 30-35 min. Watch carefully as the edges tend to burn easily.
Note: Also yummy when almond or rum extract is substituted for the orange! |
