cola shredded pork

Name: Yvonne Siddall
Base: Fort Campbell
Recipe: 5 lb. pork steak (because they are cheap in bulk) 4 tablespoon oil 1 large onion two cloves of garlic jalapeno to taste (fresh or pickled depends on you) 2 cans of cola(sometimes I use root beer) 1 cup orange juice(no pulp-tang works too) salt and pepper cilantro tortilla chips chop onion. brown with 2 tablespoon of oil. once there is a nice color add garlic and jalapeno. saute on high for about 1 min. then add whatever cola you have and bring to a boil. while waiting. get the steaks washed off. put into a big casserole dish. season with salt and pepper. once the cola mix is boiling pour into casserole dish bake at 250F for three hours. take out the pork and shred. drain the rest and add the onions and stuff to the shredded pork. add a big handfull of choped cilantro, some more salt and pepper, and 2 tablespoons of oil preferably olive oil. serve with tortilla chips, sour cream, salsa, green enchilada sauce, and cheese. great for parties buffet style. just make it ahead of time and reheat.
