Recipe: |
1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
1 lb. ground beef
2 TBSP. chopped onion
2 cans tomato soup
2 c. hot water
salt and pepper to taste
Combine rice, ground beef, salt, pepper, onion, and mix well with hands. Shpae into 12 balls. Brown balls in frying pan. If beef is really lean, add a couple TBSP. oil. After they are browned, drain off oil. Return balls to pan. Add tomato soup and water ( mix soup and water together first). Cover and cook 1 1/2 hours over low heat until rice is tender. Stir occasionally while cooking. Serve over spaghetti or fettucini. |
