Cake ingredients:
1-large can of fruit copcktail
1-box yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1 1/3 c. water
1/3 c. veggie oil
mix all ingredients in med. size mixing bowl
bake according to directions on cake mix box.
(the juice in the fruit cocktail may be drained off, I leave in in the mix for a yummy moist cake!)
Topping ingredients:
1 c. sugar
1 stick of butter (melted)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 bag of shredded coconut
add sugar to melted butter in med. size sauce pan
add vanilla and butter milk and boil stirring constantly
add coconut.
Let cake cool and then pour the topping over the cooled cake.
