French Cinnamon Toast

Recipe: 1 egg 1 cup milk 1 tbs sugar butter (may subs. cooking spray) 4-6 slices bread sugar & cinnamon mixture (opt.) Whisk together egg, milk, and tbsp of sugar, preferably in a wide bowl. You CAN use less milk if you don't want to make so much toast. Melt butter/spray in frying pan over medium-low heat. BRIEFLY dip slice of bread into egg mixture, making sure both sides are completely wet but not so soggy that the bread falls apart. Place bread into frying pan and cook on each side about 60 seconds or until done. Bread should look yellow or, if desired, brownish (the hotter the pan, the darker the toast). You may cook 2 or 3 slices at a time depending on size of pan. Reapply butter/spray on pan before each batch to prevent burning. Sprinkle toast with cinnamon-sugar mixture while warm OR use syrup if you prefer. Toast can be frozen (preferably without cinnamon) and reheated in a toaster or microwave. Recipe can easily be doubled for even larger batches of toast.
