Carribean Spiced Ribs

Recipe: 3 pounds pork loin back ribs 2 tablespoons instant minced onion 1 teaspoon ground mustard 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 medium onion, sliced 1/2 cup water 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce 1. Spray the inside of a 5-6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray 2. Remove the inner layer of skin from the ribs if you desire. Mix the minced onion, mustard, red pepper, allspice, cinnamon, and garlic powder; rub the mixture into the ribs. Cut the ribs into 4-inch pieces. Layer the ribs and onion slices in the slow cooker. Pour the water over the ribs. 3. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8-9 hours or until the ribs are tender. Remove the ribs for the slow cooker then drain and discard the left over liquid. 4. Pour the barbecue sauce in a shallow bowl and dip the ribs into the sauce. Place the ribs back in the slow cooker. Pour any remaining sauce over the ribs. Cover and cook on low heat for 1 more hour. Yields 6 servings
