This is a quick and easy recipe to make when you need an appetizier for unexpected guests or events.
Ingredients:
1 medium/large bell pepper
1 small/medium yellow oinon
1 medium jar of kraft cheez whiz(any flavor)
1 16oz. package of jimmy dean sausage (any flavor)
2 loafs of cocktail breads(your choice of breads, i usually use rye and pupernickel)
Chop up your pepper and onion up very fine to start. In a large skillet brown sausage along with onion and bell pepper until completely done. drain any excess fat. Add whole jar of cheez whiz blend until cheez is completley melted.
Take cheez whiz mixture and spread onto cocktail breads and place on cookie sheets and broil in oven until cheez bubbles, then remove and serve.
Or if you have a toaster oven you can acheive the same effect using the toaster oven.
total prep time 45 min.
These are great also to make ahead and freeze, because you can just put them in the oven or the toaster oven and they are ready in minutes. |
