Recipe: |
2 cups blackberries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup water
1 tblsp. cornstarch (or 2 tblsp. of flour)
1/2 cup of sugar

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
Mix berries, cornstarch, water and the 1/2 cup sugar in saucepan. Bring to boil, pour in high sided baking dish. Mix dry ingredients, cut in shortening. Add remaing sugar and milk. Stir until dough holds together. Drop by spoonfulls into hot blackberries. Bake at 425' for 15-20 min. |
