Flavorful Green Beans
2 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup sliced or diced onion
2Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 or 2 cans of green beans, drained. Any style may be used, frozen beans may also be used
salt/pepper to taste
Fry bacon in skillet, add onion and cook till slightly tender. Add olive oil and heat. Toss in green beans and stir till well heated. Salt and pepper to taste. I sometimes add a bit of garlic also.
Serve from skillet or put in a bowl. Goes Great with stew beef or roast from the crock pot after a day of cooking and mashed potatoes and gravy from stew. |
