Basic Corn Bread

Recipe: 1 1/3 cups plain corn meal ( I used white, medium grind) 2/3 cups all-purpose flour 2 to 4 teaspoon sugar ( I used 3) 1 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons baking powder 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/4 cup oil Sift dry ingredients (yeah, right, I just mixed them). Beat eggs, milk, and oil in a separate bowl. Add to dry ingredients; beat lightly until thoroughly mixed. Pour into greased muffin, corn stick, or square pan (I used the cast iron skillet, probably need 8 inch or smaller size). Bake in preheated 450° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
