Recipe: Needed: 3 cups flour 3 cups sugar 1 cup margarine or butter 2 sticks crisco (baking) 5 eggs 1 cup orange juice 1 tbsp vanilla or lemon extract 1 teaspoon baking powder Pinch of salt Directions: Allow crisco and butter to get room temperature in mixing bowl so that they are eay to blend. Blend the two items until cream-like. Gradually blend sugar into mixture. It should look yellow and grain-like at this point. Blend eggs into mixture followed by orange juice. Next blend your choice of extract, baking powder, and salt. Before blending flour preheat oven at 350 degrees. Blend flour into mixture until smooth. Grease your choice of pans and pour in mixture. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. remove form oven and let cool for 15 to 20 minutes befor removing from pan.Enjoy! Note: easy way to tell if done is sticking toothpick into cake. If no batter resides on toothpick upon removal. cake is done. Add touch: If normal pound cake pan was used, chop up an apple and place inside hole in the middle. this will keep your cake moist.
