Corn Bread Casserole (Wic Beans idea)

Recipe: This is for all those people who have to get those nasty beans in the supermarket and don't know what to do with them. 1 Cup Cornmeal 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup milk 2 eggs, beaten 1 can cream-stly corn 8 oz colby cheese, shredded 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 lb ground beef 1 can (15 1/2 oz) kidney beans (2 cups cooked) 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce 1 pkg taco seasoning mix 1. Combine 1 cup of cornmeal with the soda and salt. Stir in milk, eggs, corn, and cheese. Mix well and set aside. 2. Brown the ground beef with onions, drain. Stir in kidney beans, tomato sauce and taco seasoning. 3. Spread half of the cornmeal mixture in a greased and floured baking dish. Cover with the meat mixture and top with the rest of the cornmeal mixture. Cover the dish and refridgerate until an hour before you plan to eat it. Then bake uncovered at 350 for an hour or until top is done.
