Classic Creme Scones

Recipe: 2 C All Purpose Flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/8 teaspoon salt ¼ C Sugar 1/3 C Butter ½ C Whipping Cream 1 Large Egg 1 ½ teaspoons Vanilla 1 Egg White 1 teaspoon water Sugar Combine first 4 ingredients, cut in butter. Whisk together cream, egg, and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Pat or roll to ½ inch thickness. Cut into Scones. Whisk egg white and teaspoon water, brush tops of scones sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 degrees for 13-15 minutes Yield: 1 dozen
