Homemade gravy

Recipe: You will need 3 cups of drippings or 2 cans of chicken broth, 1/2 stick margarine, 1 small white onion, 3 tblsp olive oil,3 tblsp flour, 1 tblsp milk. In a 4 quart saucepan, add oilve oil and finely diced onion on medium heat. Stir till onion is golden brown, optional to add 1 clove pressed garlic at this time. Add margarine and stir till melted. Add flour 1 tblsp at a time until all incorporated into onion mixture stirring frequently not to burn flour and onions. Turn heat to low and add broth or drippings. Stir till simmering. Add milk to thicken gravy and simmer for another 10-20 minutes till ready to serve. This is great with turkey, mashed potatoes, or stuffing. Enjoy!
