CHICKEN LEEK SOUP

Recipe: take one whole chicken 3 to 4 lb wash put in pot and cover with water. bring water to a boil then turn heat down to a simmer add three chicken bullion cubes and simmer till done aprox 30 to 45 min.while chicken is simmering wash leaks 3 stalks and cut into 1/2 inch circles wash again and set aside.take 2 carrots clean and cut into small pieces about the sice of a dime.when chicken is done take from pot let cool and remove skin. cut chicken into small chunks and set aside.skim fat from water that chicken was cooked in after cooled.put water back on med high heat when water comes to a boil add one lb of spaghetti broken in half after 5 min add carrots after 5 more min add leeks and cooked untill spaghetti is done add chicken and bring back to a simmer. the leek soup is ready to eat. add soy sauce or maggi to taste either one is excellent with soup.no salt is needed add pepper if you like. THIS IS AN OLD DUTCH RECEIPT AND IS VERY GOOD ON A FALL OR WINTER EVENING ALTHO I EAT IT YEAR ROUND,WILL MAKE 6 TO 8 SERVEINGS LEFT OVERS CAN BE FROZEN.THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SOUPS I KNOW OF.
