Pork chops W/Mushroom/onion Gravy

Recipe: 4-Center cut pork chops(or more depending on size of family), 1-large onion,sliced into rings, 1-can or fresh sliced mushrooms, salt, pepper, garlic powder, 3C. water, cooking oil,flour. Wash and pat dry chops. Season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Dip chops in flour and just brown on both sides in hot oil. Place chops in baking dish after browned. Cook sliced onion and mushrooms in oil until tender. Then sprinkle about 1 tbsp flour over onions and mushrooms, or enough to absorb all the oil and brown. Once flour is brown, add water and season to taste with salt and pepper. Gravy will start to thicken as it simmers. Stir occasionally. Pour gravy mixture over chops in baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 1-1/2 hours. Chops will be fork tender. I serve with mashed potatoes and corn.
