My mother-in-law gave me this receipe, and I've taken out the peppers but we still call it Pepper Rice.....
3 cups rice (cook as directed)
20 oz. sour cream
2 cups Mont. Jack Cheese w/jalapenos, grated(I like Kraft)
1 cup mild cheddar cheese,grated
Salt to taste
In large bowl mix cooled rice, sour cream & salt. Layer half of rice mixture into large baking dish, next layer Jack cheese and top with remaing rice. Finish off with cheddar. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, or until all cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with grilled steaks or pork chops. |
