1lb Hamburger
1 can Kidney Beans, undrained
1 can Diced Tomatoes, undrained
1/2 cup Minute Rice, uncooked
1 1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt
1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
1/3 cup water
1/3 tsp. salt (if desired)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, colby-jack, whatever you prefer).
1/2 cup crumbled tortilla chips (if desired)
Brown hamburger meat. Add undrained kidney beans, undrained diced tomatoes, uncooked rice, water, garlic salt, chili powder, and salt (if desired). Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Top with cheese and tortilla chips. Let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
This goes great with a batch of Jiffy corn bread! |
