1 loaf texas toast,5 eggs, 1/2 c. milk, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 Tbsp. sugar, 3 Tbsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. nutmeg(optional).
Beat eggs, add milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. You can use a frydaddy or heat oil in a pan to cook them. Cut bread slices into 3 pieces each(bread is easier to cut and holds its shape better if frozen), coat pieces with egg mixture and cook until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. I like to make a larger batch and freeze them for easy school day breakfasts. |
