One Pot Rice-A-Roni & Chicken |

2-3 tablespoon butter
1 large onion
2 cups frozen fajita chicken or frozen chicken tenders
1 package Rice-A-Roni Long Grain & Wild Rice Pilaf
Optional: fresh mushrooms
In 2-3 tablespoons butter, suate 1 large onion cut into bite size pieces and 2 cups frozen fajita chicken meat or frozen chicken tenders. Cook for 5 minutes.
Add 1 box Rice-A-Roni Long Grain & Wild Rice Pilaf. Cook according to package.
Simmer until chicken is done.
Option: For those who like mushrooms add to the simmering pot a handful or so of fresh mushrooms cut up in chunks.
Ready in about 20 minutes. Serve with greenbeans, or your favorite vegetable or salad and rolls.(sometimes I add the vegetable to the pot and cook it altogether)
An alternative to chicken is to use Smoked Sausage cut up into bite size pieces. |
