The WORST move we ever made! Ft. Bliss itself is a nice post with a great PX..It\'s huge, HOWEVER, you don\'t want to live on post because the schools your children will go to are the worst.
For Junior high & high school, go to Horizon city on the \'Emerald pass\' side of Pelicano, Eastlake high is the BEST school bar none. El Paso is the pits, & that\'s putting it nicely. 15 minutes from Mexico, it\'s an 80% Hispanic population & most can not speak English. Good luck finding a job if you can\'t speak Spanish.
El Paso has a lot of violence & drugs, it is a filthy place to live.. It looks like Afghanistan. Dusty, dirty,little to no vegetation. The dust storms are ridiculous & frequent, they block out the sun & dust inevitably finds it\'s way under every door in your house.
Driving is dangerous, especially for those who ride Motorcycles.
Avoid at all costs..if you can\'t, well.. if your children are too young for school live on post, if they are school age, live out in Horizon city near Emerald pass, it\'s the safest area with the best schools.. Brush up on your Spanish.
