Hi I will like to answer to the negative army wife on AK, I was on Fort Richardson for 4 years and I thanks God everyday for be there. In the beginnig is though like every new base you go with your husband and family. If you have the time to go outside of the base and discover the beauty of Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, Wasilla and the famous Denali Park, you will fall in love with this place. The diversity of people make this state more beautiful. You can learn about it!!! If you dont like the school on base, you can try outside the have 4 public school where your kids can learn japenese, russian and spanish. If you think everything is expensive, the army pay is good, if you know how to save and use the pfd!!! I know is hard to be in a new place every 3 years, but you have to try your best and thank Good if your have your husband, kids with you and have the opportunity to travel places you never imagine. Be positive you have the opportunity to live on a small and unique place call ALASKA for you, and home for me.
