Well, I don't think Campbell is the greatest, but I don't think it is just so unbelievably horrible either. It has it's ups and downs. The FRGs really aren't too great and the commissary is busy a lot (seems a little small to me considering how large the post is). But there are good points also. If you look, there are things to do, you just have to be willing to find them. If you set at home and hope stuff will just fall in your lap, you are crazy, military or not, you have to FIND stuff to do. The housing is ok. We live in E4 and below housing and of course we can't wait to get into the nicer housing (who wouldn't?). But I have to say that even though it is lower enlisted, it is really nice on the inside. The outside doesn't look great, but we have a lot of room, just enough for a family of 3. The BEST thing about Campbell, and the BEST way to really have things to do and make friends is to find a church!! They have to PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel), it is a bible study and since I have been in that I have so much fun and have met so many great women. It really has helped having those positive women around while my husband is deployed. You should look into it when and if you get here. You have to make the best of the situation. Hope this helps and God bless!!
