EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY. (we have a family of four). We spend fifty dollars on just ordering pizza. We still have wal-mart and kmart lol Off base housing is expensive. on average the rent will be 2200 dollars for a three bedroom if you want a decent neighborhood. Most places don't require central heat/air though you don't need the heat here. It's still 86 degrees on Christmas day. There is alot to do here with the tourist attractions but once again it's expensive and not many can afford the expense without saving up. Some of my neighbors are nice but we also were friends with them before we came out here. I don't have much to say about Hawaii but the base is ok. Housing is a little old but they're improving that by building new housing.
